Ben added these pithy words on Jun 01 08 at 11:22 pm…as sampled by superfunk on their classic bit of french disko, “lucky star”. very cheesy, but exceptional. there must be at least six totally different and all very good versions of josephine. have you heard the peter visti 8-minute re-edit of it? manages to out-balearic the original, if that’s possible. can’t find a copy anywhere, am forced to listen to it on the hype machine player, so frustrating! hi to kev by the way!

Pretty much all those Balearic Biscuit releases were top draw, the Chris Isaac one being a personal fave - as featured on BFF a long while back…
