What we have here is some super smooth jazz-funk, courtesy of Lonnie Liston Smith & The Cosmic Echoes. Available on the 1975 ‘Expansions‘ lp, ‘Voodoo Woman’ probably doesn’t get as much airplay as it should, due to most people playing the self titled ‘Expansions’ track and pretty much nothing else. Being somewhat more mellow in tempo, ‘Voodoo Woman’ takes things down a notch or two, with some serious spaced out jazz – perfect for what is a very, very lazy Monday afternoon…
