Start as we mean to go on…
Dancing Fantasy - Dancing Fantasy Dream Theme (MP3)
I was hoping to start the new look site with a track that had some sort of ‘get up and go’ title, something with a real ’start as you mean to go on’ message. How ironic then, that due to an incapacitating hangover, I really - for want of a better idiom - ‘could not be arsed’ to search for one. Taking the easy option (starting as I mean to go on no doubt), i choose a track that is top of my ‘if I was ever to start making music, I would want it to sound something like this’ list…
I first heard ‘Dancing Fantasy Dream Theme’ on the Phil Mison DJ History mix a few years back, and was awestruck. After a tiny bit of research, it was no surprise to find out is was released on Klaus Schulze’s inspirational record label, Innovative Communication. With all those warm pads, soft squelchy bass lines and subtle guitar licks, it should of been more than apparent. To my utter disappointment though, the big surprise was finding out it never got a vinyl pressing release - available on the ‘Midnight Blvd.’ cd only album…

i am waiting for our technical dept’ (i.e. Kev) to deal with it, as i am somewhat perplexed by this whole new system/site/computer wizardry thing that we have got going on.
