Jumping jack frost
rolling stones - gimme shelter (mp3)
damn, manchester is cold today. black frost was out last night, and now i’m decked out in multiple layers, with gloves, scarves and everything, and i’m still chilled right through to the bone. winter’s here without a doubt.
and in trying to forge a tenuous link between the weather and what i can find on my laptop at work i’ve unearthed this stone-cold classic from the rolling stones … if i was to compile a ‘top 10 records to effortlessly swagger around to’ i’m sure this would be up right up there with wilco’s bluestastic “handshake drugs”.

Big John Squire record (when he was any cop!) and out Oasis’s Oasis at 20 paces. Pitched in between their psyche-dandy period and the hard roots-rockin’ of ‘Beggars Banquet’
