It’s a konders magic

bobby konders - bad boy dance (mp3)
herb alpert - north on south street (late night massive sound remix) (mp3)
the associates - fire to ice (bobby konders mix) (mp3)
following up from my nu-groove beginners guide is an introduction to one of it’s most prolific artists. bobby konders is one of those producers whose name on a record is all i need to see before purchasing, and it turns up in some unlikely places providing gems such as those above on major labels (including charisma, a&m and mercury) at the start of the 90s, tracks that would have been very at home on nu groove. his early releases on his own massive b label also feature this late night house sound and are well worth the search.

Morrie added these pithy words on Apr 24 07 at 8:44 amYet again you guys come up Top Trumps. LOVE these Konder mixes. I bought some of his mixes on a tape when I moved to the UK in ‘91, but unfortunately they went MIA during my many moves across the seas. A big fan of the Associates and to have Merssers MacKenzie and Konders together [well, kind of…] is fabulous. Thanks again for such a quality site of great music. [I also really enjoyed the The Boats]
