Feelin’ high

high feelings - leave norway (mp3)
so a moonboots secret weapon finally sees the light of day, but only for the lucky few quick enough to grab one of the 200 copies released. this is one of the tracks from the new 12″ from high feelings records (no website as of yet sorry!), and is a beach boys inspired sing-a-long, apparently by norwegian rockers motorpsycho. whilst the disco re-edit train seems like it is beginning to run out of steam, forward-thinking tinkerers like the high feelings chaps and brighton-based quiet village are keeping those in-the-know on our toes. the next 12″ from these guys are a pair of balearic beauties, with one in particular sounding like a lost ash ra treasure.
if you were very sharp you might have bought one here, but if not you better head over here and get those fingers crossed.

henrik added these pithy words on Apr 05 06 at 4:37 pmQue pasa? This is nothing new, it is in fact the original Motorpsycho version of the song. At least its exactly the same as the one I have on my copy of their “Phanerothyme” album.
Kev added these pithy words on Apr 05 06 at 4:51 pmi believe it’s a re-edit, from a new label that hails from norway … there’s next to no info on the net, and it’s not a song i’ve heard before so i though it nice to share!
is there no difference in length / structure, or is it exactly the same?
henrik added these pithy words on Apr 06 06 at 9:53 amDefinitely nice to share! The radio promo for the song was 2:53, and the version on my copy of the album is 8 minutes long - and I don’t hear any changes in this re-edit. But a good way of introducing the gospel according to Motorpsycho, who btw have a new album out.
Kev added these pithy words on Apr 06 06 at 6:24 pmthanks - nice to know that there’s a mini single out there, I’d quite fancy a sub-3 minute 7″
its me! added these pithy words on Apr 07 06 at 11:49 amThis does not not sound exactley like the original Motorpsycho version of the song! They have been takin away the nasty parts and streached some funky ones i think…
Jeff added these pithy words on Apr 10 06 at 7:42 pmBlinding track.
Thanks for posting it.
Cheers, Jeff.
Saheer added these pithy words on Apr 15 06 at 9:22 pmIt might be my ears, but I’m having a hard time picking out the “new” parts, or re-worked sections of the track from the original. Could you post the original next to the High Feelings version? Either way, it’s a great track for sure!
Tnx!
kev added these pithy words on Apr 19 06 at 3:15 pmI’ve not got the original myself, but if anyone else has an mp3 I can definately link it up …
