just got hold of this this morning, another top-quality remix from james and tim, taking the best parts of a hot chip monster and stretching it out over 8 and a half minutes in a way only they know how. with synths that echo the juan maclean’s superb “give me every little thing”, a constant kick-drum groove and the trademarked dfa loose drumming, this is a further feather in the already packed cap for the super-hip new yorkers.
in other dfa related news, i have somehow managed to get hold of a very limited 3 x cd christmas pack, with 2 discs mixed by james murphy and 1 by juan maclean. a tracklisting can be found here, and i’ll post more details when i’ve had a chance to listen to it properly.
